Hello, I’m Deborah and wish you a warm welcome to Alcyon Hair and Beauty.
I have been a part of the hairdressing and beauty industry for 32 years. The love of Hair and Beauty started at a very young age and developed into a passion that drives me every day. Empowering women to look and feel the best version of themselves is a great honour and a significant reason why I opened Alcyon Hair and Beauty in the beautiful leafy suburb of Kalinga. 

I am passionate about the products used to create the looks for our guests. My vast knowledge of ingredients and the affects they can have on our Hair, Skin and Nails was the catalyst for me to make Alcyon as FREE FROM SLS, SLES, PARABAN, SULPHATES, PPD, RESORCINOL, AMMONIA, MMA (found in Acrylic Nails), TALC, ANIMAL CRUELTY FREE, VEGAN FRIENDLY, GLUTEN FREE.
We absorb 65% of what we apply topically and absorbing these chemicals into our liver only causes stress on its function and therefore making our kidneys work harder than necessary. 

I firmly believe health shouldn’t be compromised for beauty and the quest for enhancing our natural beauty doesn’t need to compromise our health. After researching extensively, I found it was possible to use high performing products in our services without causing harm to our inner health. Reducing the loading of unnecessary chemicals on our system and its function is the backbone of the products chosen for our guests and our team.
